We hope you’re all having a great summer! We wanted to pass along the bell changes for 2022-2023 to help our Central 301 families prepare for the new school year. Six of the seven schools within the district will see changes. Central Middle School will remain the same from 8:00 AM until 2:38 PM, while Prairie Knolls Middle School will slide back 10 minutes and will run from 8:10 AM until 2:48 PM.
Central High School will see the biggest change for 2022-2023. The 1st Period start time is now at 7:58 AM and concludes at 2:46 PM. All four grade schools (Country Trails, Howard B. Thomas, Lily Lake, and Prairie View) will slide back five (5) minutes from 9:15 AM until 3:40 PM.
There are only two half days scheduled on the school year calendar that will require an early dismissal. On March 24 and April 28, the end of the day will be at 11:07 AM at Central Middle School, 11:10 AM for Central High School, and 11:13 AM for Prairie Knolls Middle School. Grade schools will conclude on those days at 12:15 PM.
Please note that we have opportunities for you to help within the district as bus drivers, paraprofessionals, food service workers and substitute teachers. We have a whole host of Central 301 job openings posted and you can click this link for more information. The first day of school is set for Monday, August 15 for students in grades 1 through 12. Early Childhood and Kindergarten will return to school on Thursday, August 18.
