We are pleased to announce that Mr. Ted Juske will assume the position of Central High School Athletic Director beginning July 1, 2022.

Ted is a former three sport athlete in high school, and played baseball at the JUCO, Division I, and professional level. He has fifteen years of educational experience, ten years as a middle school science and social studies teacher, and the past five years he served as a district athletic director for 5th-12th grade at Johnsburg School District. His duties included operating, maintaining, and evaluating 37 sports between both Jr. High and High School. During his time at Johnsburg they were fortunate to win their first ever team state championship in competitive cheer. Additionally, they have had 40 plus individual state qualifiers, seven team state qualifiers, three sectional championships and eight regional championships.

His philosophy is focused on fostering better students, better people, and better athletes. He has implemented various student-athlete leadership programs, encouraging multisport and multi-activity individuals, despite a declining enrollment at Johnsburg. He values the social and emotional well being of his student-athletes, and developed a school-wide strength and conditioning program to build athleticism and endurance.

Coming from a unit district, he has experience with building vertical integration with all coaches between middle school and high school programs to ensure a smooth transition from one level to the next. He also worked with coaches and community groups to maximize the involvement of as many individuals as possible. That included organization of feeder nights and other events to promote various programs and what they can offer.

He is extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue to grow and develop the programs here at Central School District and looks forward to working with the many passionate, talented, determined individuals and community members that embody the values of Central School District 301.

Please watch for a date for a meet and greet. We are excited to have Ted join our Central family.
