Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open on April 6th, and will be conducted online through our New Student Enrollment portal. Please note that we do not have open enrollment. The school your child will attend is based on the district’s attendance boundaries. If you are unsure about your child’s school, use the district map for clarification.
Online New Student Enrollment
Please review the required documents section below before starting the Online New Student Enrollment process. You will need the requested documents in digital format (JPG, PNG, or a clear and legible photo) to be uploaded or attached.
If your family is new to the district, CLICK HERE and fill out the New Guardian Login Request form. You will need a valid email address to complete this process. If you don’t have a valid email address, please email registration@central301.net for an alternative. Once your Login Request has been submitted, you will receive an email with a system-generated username and link to set a customized password. Please take note of your username, as this will be used going forward for access to your student and family information in our Parent Portal. If you are an existing family in the district or an Early Childhood family with us and need to register your student for Kindergarten, you can log in with your existing username and password to Skyward Family Access / Parent Portal. Click the down arrow next to the home icon in the upper left corner and select “New Student Enrollment.” You can now access “2027 New Student Enrollment” to add your Kindergarten student’s information. Skyward will automatically pull some family or student information into your enrollment form, but please complete all requested fields and provide all documents to start your Kindergarten student’s permanent record. Required Documents for 2026-2027 Registration
In order to register a new student, families must provide documentation that verifies that the family is living (not just owns property) within Central 301 boundaries. If you are building a new home, you must have closed on your home in order to register your student(s).
Specific documentation will depend on the living situation. Please refer to this Required Residency Documents (Espanol) list for what is applicable to you. Please note: The district has the authority to conduct a home visit and/or require additional documentation to verify residency.
In addition to residency documentation, parents/guardians of new students entering the district will need to provide the following:
- Valid photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or IL Public Aid Card)
- Child’s Birth Certificate
Please visit the Health Requirements page on the district website for information regarding health requirements for new students, as there may be items needed prior to the first day of attendance.
What Now?
Once all required documentation has been received and residency has been verified, parents/guardians will receive a welcome email from their child’s school office with helpful information and remaining steps to finalize enrollment. These steps will include completing 2027 Online Registration in Skyward Family Access / Parent Portal, and also to creating a new user account in RevTrak to pay school fees. Specific details for these final steps in the registration process will be included in the email sent out by the office staff.
We ask for your patience with our staff during this busy time of year. We work with hundreds of incoming families in a very short amount of time, and process all new student enrollments in the order they are received. We look forward to having you join our Central 301 family!
Here (Espanol) is a Welcome Letter from our transportation department. Riding the school bus is a big deal! Please review the information in this letter and mark August 5th on your calendar for our Ride-A-Bus night. The Kindergarten transportation page on our website is also a great resource. Please note that bus routes will not be finalized until the week before school starts in August, so nothing will appear in the Transportation tile of your Skyward Family Access / Parent Portal until that time.

Once registration has been completed, you will receive information from your Kindergartener’s school about upcoming orientation sessions. Please take some time to check out your elementary school’s website for information and resources.
