Welcome to the Central 301 Department of Communications!

Matt Rodewald – Director of Communications

The Central 301 Department of Communications serves as the connection between our schools, our families, our staff, and our community. Through timely, transparent and engaging communication, we work to keep stakeholders informed, celebrate student and staff success, and strengthen trust in our district.

Whether sharing important district updates, highlighting classroom learning, promoting upcoming events or communicating during emergency situations, our goal is to provide accurate information through multiple channels while encouraging meaningful two-way communication.

What We Do

The Department of Communications oversees districtwide communication efforts, including:

  • District and school news, announcements and publications
  • Media relations and community engagement
  • Website management and digital communications
  • Social media strategy and content creation
  • Photography, videography and storytelling
  • Graphic design and district branding
  • Crisis and emergency communications
  • ParentSquare communications and email outreach
  • Digital Bulletin Board management
  • Community partnerships and promotional campaigns

We are proud to showcase the outstanding students, educators and staff who make Central 301 a special place to learn and grow. The department also serves as the district’s primary point of contact for media requests, interviews, campus access and public information.
