HBT 1st Graders Are Learning Our 1st grade students are hearing from community workers. Not only are they learning about variuos community jobs they are also learning how to sit in a large audience and attend to a presentation. In addition, our 1st graders are engaging in Math differently this year through the i-Ready resource.

HBT Reads to Dogs
HBT Reads to Dogs Monthly Each month students are chosen by their teachers for exhibiting the Care Code. If they are selected, the students have the opportunity to read with some comfort dogs in the library. Here are a few pictures from this month’s visit with the dogs.

HBT Celebrates Homecoming with a Spirit Week During the week of September 15th, HBT celebrated homecoming with a school wide spirit week. Monday was Disney Day and Tuesday was Sports Day! Kindergarten HOUSE Reveal Day 2025 Today, September 8th, the Kindergarteners were assigned to the HOUSE that they will be a part of for the duration of their time at HBT! Students were given a scratch off card that revealed their house color and then Ms. Rourke used Science to teach the students about their house

Picture Day
Student Picture Day On Wednesday, September 3rd, HBT hosted Interstate Studios for picture day. Everyone, including our smallest learners, took their picture. The smiles were big and the outfits were adorable! If you missed out on picture day, don’t worry! Picture Make Up Day is already scheduled for October 28th.

5th Grade
Critical Thinking In 5th Grade This week in 5th grade, students were given various assignments that focused on team building, communication, discovery, and more. One example was an activity involving a “worm” named Fred that tipped over his boat. Students had limited supplies to get Fred back in the boat.

First Day Fun
HBT First Day Fun August 20th, we welcomed our 1st – 5th grade students to HBT for the 2025 – 2026 school year. On August 21st, we welcomed our Kindergarten students. Finally, on August 25th, we welcomed our youngest learners in Early Childhood to HBT. We are excited for a great school year!
