2026 Scholarship Central
Scholarship Opportunities and Resources During the spring semester, students ramp up their efforts to seek scholarship money for higher education. Our hope is to support Central 301 students in their quest after graduation. Here is a list of scholarship opportunities that might be of interest to our Central 301 students. Veterans Day Assembly
HBT / Celebrates Veterans Day All family members of current HBT students who are currently serving, or have served, in the military are welcome to attend Howard B. Thomas Grade School’s Veterans Day celebration on Monday, November, 11th. Veterans will be treated to a continental/complimentary breakfast with their student(s) in the Cafeteria at 9:15 AM.

Middle School Girls Cross Country Qualifies for State Meet!
The Middle School Girls Cross Country Team has qualified for the IESA State Meet for the first time since 2019! We are so proud of the hard work they have put in this school year! The state meet will take place this Saturday, October 19th, in Bloomington, Illinois.

Friday Fact 10/11
How will elementary school boundaries change if the referendum passes? If the referendum passes, Prairie Knolls Middle School will be converted into a fifth elementary school, which will require redrawing the district’s elementary school boundaries. Any boundary map we would create now, based on current information, would likely change in the future as development continues

Thank you to Mr. Bilen and his Video Production students for creating another great weekly announcement video. Highlights from this week include: Barista Opening, SkillsUSA info, Book Club Updates, Interviews with Luke, Movie Reviews & Central Snaps. There is a little flair of Halloween theme thrown in as well.

4th Grade After School Movie
Our 4th graders went to the movies to watch “ The Wild Robot” as a culminating activity after reading the story in class. Our parents, teachers and students enjoyed a wonderful evening of popcorn, treats and fun connecting their learning with an experience as a community!

7th Grade Girls Volleyball captures NCJC Title After completing the regular season with a record of 10-2 and earning the #2 seed in the North Central Junior Conference tournament, the PKMS 7th Grade Girls Volleyball team ran the table, defeating Kaneland for the tournament championship on Saturday, October 5! Join CMS Students and Staff for Veterans Day, 2024!
Comet Families, On November 11th, 2024, we will celebrate our Military Veterans during a ceremony at Central Middle School. A reception for our Veterans and their students will start at 1:40 PM, followed by a ceremony at 2:00 PM. The Comet Band and Choir will perform, and community Veteran Jason Johnston will deliver a speech.
