2026 Scholarship Central
Scholarship Opportunities and Resources During the spring semester, students ramp up their efforts to seek scholarship money for higher education. Our hope is to support Central 301 students in their quest after graduation. Here is a list of scholarship opportunities that might be of interest to our Central 301 students. Nature Day
2nd Grade Nature Day On Thursday, May 29th, the HBT 2nd graders participated in a Nature Day. This full day event was a combination of Math & Measurment, Science, Writing, and more. Check out some of the pictures below for a glimpse into the day.

Prairie View Closed 5/28
Prairie View Grade School will be closed on Wednesday, May 28 due to an ongoing water service issue that impacted operations throughout the day on Tuesday. Restroom facilities were disrupted, and water access in the building remains unavailable. The Central 301 Buildings and Grounds team is actively working alongside external partners to address the problem

Twister-A-Thon
Twister-A-Thon Raises Over $11,000 Each year the HBT PTO has a goal of raising $10,000 during the annual Twister-A-Thon and each year since COVID they have come up short of their goal. This year the HBT students and community came through, hit their goal, and surpassed it! They raised over $11,000 for the HBT PTO

5th Grade Band
5th Grade Band Concert On Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, the District 301 5th graders performed their last band concert of the school year. The concert was held at PKMS and was directed by Sharon Walker (HBT/LL band director) and Brittany LaGambina (CT/PV band director).

Central Seniors Stroll through CT Halls again!
Graduating seniors who attended CT returned for a congratulatory stroll through their former elementary building. Seniors were welcomed with cheers and applause! They connected with former teachers and even some family members!
