Global Day of Unplugging at PKMS!
On Friday, March 6, Prairie Knolls recognized the Global Day of Unplugging by incorporating a theme or mini-lesson into each class throughout the day. It was an opportunity for students to reflect on their relationship with technology, the importance of balance, and the benefits of being present and engaged without digital distractions.
Students visited the LMC for “unplugged activities” during Task and stocked up on books for the weekend. Science classes “walked the solar system” through the hallways, ELA classes researched and created posters, and students enjoyed collaborative games during lunch. These were just a few of the many creative ways our staff helped bring the theme to life.
It was another impactful day at the Falcon’s Nest!
