Changing The Learning Setting
While the overwhelming majority of teaching and learning takes place in a classroom setting, every now and then teachers and students engage in some activities that take advantage of a new setting to stimulate engagement and lead to some memorable learning experiences. Today at CMS, as part of their library stations, students were able to relax for a bit in Ms. McCoy’s CMS YA Cafe, choose a title of their choosing, and experience the ambiance of dim lights, soft music, and good book to read. In math, Ms. Parisi’s Math 1 students took advantage of sunshine, blue skies, and nice temps to conduct a math choose your own adventure/scavenger hunt outside!
