2025 CMS Cross Country State Qualifiers!
Faster than a Speeding Comet…
Several CMS Cross Country runners competed in sectionals on Saturday, October 11th, and had a day to celebrate! The runners brought home 13 new personal records and plenty of good news.
The girls team had outstanding performances across the board, 3 runners ran well under 13 minutes and the entire team was positioned just 5 points shy of making the state championships. Two runners from the team, Fiona N. and Kacy D., who each dropped nearly a minute off their previous best times, are advancing to the State Championships this Saturday in Bloomington!
The boys team had an equally impressive showing. All of them ran incredible and 3 boys even dipped into the low 11 minute range. These athletes included, Tristan S., Lucas R. and Gavin E. Gavin lead the team, medaling in 8th place and finishing in a time of 11:12 for the two mile course. Gavin will also advance to the State Championships.
