Congrats Jackson, Coach Iossi & CHS Football!
Congratulations to Central Rockets Football on an incredible 8-3 season filled with historic achievements! This year, the Rockets reached the playoffs for the first time in a decade, won their first playoff game in 18 years, and went toe-to-toe with the Class 6A State Runner-Up, Geneva, in a hard-fought battle.
Adding to these accomplishments, All-State QB Jackson Alcorn, a senior, was named the Northwest Herald Player of the Year, and Coach Brian Iossi, finishing his third season as the Rockets head coach, earned the honor of Northwest Herald Football Coach of the Year. It’s the first time the long-time newspaper has ever honored either a Central player or coach with its highest achievement. Their leadership and dedication have exemplified the spirit of Central Rockets Football, making this season truly one for the history books.
The Rockets are already looking ahead to the 2025 season, which kicks off on August 29 at Crystal Lake South. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to show our Central pride!
