MAP testing celebration

2nd grade students hit their growth target!

This school year District 301 transitioned from Fastbridge testing to NWEA Map testing. Our focus was on growth from the fall administration to the winter administration. We tracked the students progress compared to the amount of growth MAP suggests a student should make. The HBT second graders had the most students meet their expected growth on their Math and on their Reading assessments when compared to the rest of the grade levels at HBT. To celebrate them and their hard work, Mrs. Lewis gave them an extra indoor recess/game play time. Two classes received this surprise reward on Monday and the other two classes will get it later in the week. Way to go 2nd grade.
