HBT Staff Learn About Indian Culture

This week staff at HBT had Puja Shah, an HBT Parent Advisory member, speak with them on the culture of India and some of the celebrations many of our students participate in throughout the year.  Examples of how to be culturally sensitive in the classroom were provided, and staff had an opportunity to ask questions.  We are looking to provide these mini trainings for various cultures throughout the school year to continue to enhance our staff’s knowledge about the students they have in their classroom and the greater 301 community.  If you or someone you know would be interested in being featured at one of our meetings throughout the school year, please reach out to Principal Kim Lewis via email at kim.lewis@central301.net or by phone at 847-464-6008.
