Chinese New Year: The Year of the Snake
Celebrating Chinese New Year with Culture Club
Culture Club is thrilled to celebrate Chinese New Year with the school! As part of our celebration, students have researched and shared fascinating facts about the significance of Chinese New Year, including the Year of the Snake. One key tradition is the giving of red envelopes (hóngbāo), typically filled with money to bring good luck and prosperity for the coming year.
To involve students in this cultural celebration, Culture Club will be giving out red envelopes for students to take home. Each envelope will include a small note with information about the hóngbāo tradition and the Year of the Snake.
Happy Chinese New Year from Culture Club!
