
New Leadership for Central 301

Central 301 Names Dr. Amy MacCrindle as Next Superintendent
The Central Community Unit School District 301 Board of Education has approved Dr. Amy MacCrindle as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools, marking an important leadership transition for Central 301.
“I am honored and thrilled to join the Central 301 community,” Dr. MacCrindle said. “This is a district that values relationships, learning, and growth. I look forward to listening, building trust, and working alongside our students, staff, families, community, and board to ensure every learner thrives as we continue building on our strengths and preparing students for their future.”
Dr. MacCrindle brings experience across classroom teaching, building leadership, and district administration. Most recently, she has served as Assistant Superintendent for Learning and Innovation, leading districtwide efforts in curriculum development, professional learning, instructional improvement, and strategic planning.
Throughout her career, Dr. MacCrindle has focused on literacy, collaboration, and continuous improvement. She has supported schools and districts through curriculum redesign, instructional coaching, personalized learning initiatives, and data-informed decision-making, while emphasizing strong partnerships with educators and families ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Dr. MacCrindle holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, along with graduate degrees in curriculum, literacy, and educational leadership. She has also contributed to the field through professional presentations and publications related to instructional practice and leadership development.
Dr. MacCrindle will officially begin her role on July 1, 2026. Additional information about the transition and opportunities to engage with her will be shared in the weeks ahead.
