🎉 FRIDAY FOCUS 🎉

Here’s a look at what’s happening across Central 301 this week:

🎉 100th Day of School Celebrations
Students across the district marked the 100th day of school with creative outfits and fun activities. From Country Trails to Lily Lake, classrooms were filled with excitement as students celebrated how much they’ve learned so far this year!

💙 Kindness Week at CMS
Students at Central Middle School participated in a week full of kindness activities in the Library Media Center. From painting kindness rocks to writing thoughtful notes and creating buttons, students enjoyed the chance to spread positivity and connect with classmates.

📖 CHS Students Read to Elementary Classrooms
Students from Central High School visited Howard B. Thomas Grade School to read to kindergarten and 1st grade classes. Younger students loved hearing stories from their older peers, making it a great way to build connections across grade levels.

🗳 Board Vacancy
The Central 301 Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy following the resignation of Dr. Eric Nolan.

💻 Code to the Future at Prairie View
Students in 1st grade up through 5th grade showcased their coding skills during a special event for families. The morning included a presentation by fifth graders, followed by classroom sessions where students demonstrated what they’ve been learning since the fall. A great celebration of problem-solving and creativity!

🔎 Escape Room Challenge at PKMS
Sixth-grade ELA students kicked off their Graphic Novel Palooza unit with an escape room-style activity. Using clues from the classroom, their emails, and even Hotdog Proberts, students worked together to find Astrid, a character from one of their upcoming books. Congratulations to all the classes that broke out!

Thank you for staying connected with everything happening in Central 301. Have an amazing weekend!
