Friday Focus – May 22, 2026

Here’s a look at the happenings across Central 301 this week:

End of School Year Reminder
As a reminder, the final day of attendance for all non graduating students for the 2025–2026 school year will be Wednesday, June 3. This calendar adjustment was made following the district’s emergency closure on January 23 due to extreme cold weather.

HBT Twister Club Shoe Drive
The Twister Club recently wrapped up a successful shoe drive, collecting an incredible 903 pairs of shoes totaling 940 pounds to support families in need around the world. Students also raised $251 while learning the importance of kindness, teamwork, and giving back.

ML Celebration
Earlier this month, HBT celebrated 24 multilingual learners who “graduated” from support services after years of hard work and growth. Congratulations to this outstanding group of students on reaching an important milestone in their educational journey!

CNA Pinning Ceremony
Central High School honored students completing the Certified Nursing Assistant program during a CNA Pinning Ceremony. This special event celebrates the hard work, compassion, and commitment of students preparing to begin careers in healthcare.

Bye Bye Butterflies
Kindergarten students at Country Trails recently watched caterpillars transform into butterflies through hands on classroom learning. The only hard part? Saying goodbye as the butterflies took flight!

Coyote of the Month
Prairie View recently celebrated its Coyote of the Month honorees, recognizing students who go above and beyond in demonstrating the 3 B’s: Being Respectful, Being Responsible, and Being Safe. Congratulations to all of our outstanding Coyotes!

On Your Mark…
Best of luck to our Central 301 track and field athletes competing on the state stage this weekend. More on their accomplishments in next week’s Friday Focus!

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now OPEN for all students, Early Childhood through Grade 12. Additional details have been added to the district website.
