Here’s a look at what’s happening across Central 301 this week:

📚 Last Day of School
The final bell has rung and another great year is in the books across Central 301. From high-fives to hugs, the last day of school was filled with energy, smiles, and bucket hats.

🐾 HBT Sent the Year Out in Style
From wild games like the Rock Paper Scissors Relay to one final Pledge of Allegiance led by Owen Martin, HBT’s end-of-year assembly was packed with energy and emotion and one last ovation for a beloved gym teacher.

👏 5th Grade Clap Outs
Our 5th graders walked the halls one last time while teachers and students clapped them out in style. A proud and emotional sendoff across the district.

⬆️ Level Up at HBT
On Monday, HBT students visited classrooms for the grade they will enter next year. “Level Up Day” helps ease anxiety, spark curiosity, and kick off conversations about what lies ahead.

📰 Final “In The Loop” of the Year
The Summer 2025 edition of In The Loop is live. This one’s packed with a ton of graduation photos, two perfect scores on the ACT, and Who’s Carl? (Hint: it’s not Mr. Speiden!) Look for our next issue August 20.

🚌 Bus Buddy of the Year
Congrats to Lily Lake student Renata Gomez, our 2025 Bus Buddy of the Year! She wins two tickets to Santa’s Village. And a big thank you to Ms. Missy Barton (Bus #1), who earned a $50 gift card for her incredible care and support all year.

⚾ IHSA Baseball
The Rockets capped an incredible season with their first regional championship on campus since 2017 — highlighted by Chase Powrozek’s historic no-hitter in the postseason. Well done, Rockets!
