🎉 FRIDAY FOCUS 🎉
Here’s a look at what’s happening across Central 301 this week:
🎓 Full Circle Moments with the Class of 2025
Before turning the tassels, our seniors took one last walk through the elementary schools that helped shape their journey. From hallway high-fives and playground memories to hugs from former teachers, the Class of 2025 was celebrated by the next generation of Rockets and reminded just how far they’ve come.
🌟 Perfection!
Caleb Goldenstein and Sanay Gulati each earned a perfect 36 on the ACT—an accomplishment reached by just 0.2% of students nationwide. Their story was picked up by major outlets: 📰 Daily Herald 📺 FOX 32 🎙️ WBBM 🗞️ Yahoo News 🗞️Kane County Chronicle
🌎 ML Students Move Forward
HBT celebrated 20 multilingual learners this week who met the criteria to exit language support services after years of dedication. A total of 69 students across the district! Prairie View held a similar celebration to recognize the achievement and growth of students reaching this incredible milestone.
📚 NHS Induction
Central High School celebrated new and returning National Honor Society officers as part of its 2025 NHS induction—recognizing students who exemplify leadership, scholarship, service, and character.
👟 Incoming Freshman Night
The fieldhouse was filled this week as we welcomed the Class of 2029! Coaches, sponsors, and student leaders shared with 8th graders and their families what it means to be a Rocket with info on athletics, clubs, camps, and how to get involved from day one.
🎶 Musical Milestone
Our 5th grade band students from all four schools came together for a fantastic year-end performance. Big thanks to Sharon Walker and Brittany LaGambina for leading the way!
