New Steam Program Coming to PV and LL

Central 301 is excited to bring a new, highly interactive STEAM program to students at Prairie View and Lily Lake Grade Schools this school year in partnership with Code to the Future.

This partnership provides age-appropriate instruction through Lead AI, a “coding meets AI” curriculum. This project-based program prepares students for the future by helping them to lead artificial intelligence in a way that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and confidence.

Lead AI will be rolled out gradually, with specific classes at Prairie View Grade School and Lily Lake Grade School piloting the program this first year. Coaches from Code to the Future will provide initial instruction, modeling for and training our teachers how to successfully teach the specific subject matter. As teachers learn the material, they will then be able to train other teachers and continue the instruction with future classes of students. Teachers at Country Trails and Howard B. Thomas will be added to the pilot in the 2025-2026 school year, with all elementary students learning the Lead AI curriculum by 2026-2027.

We are grateful for the teachers that will be participating in this new opportunity for our elementary students. We believe this will help our students explore content that will be essential for future readiness and that they will find it fun, engaging, and highly educational. We are so grateful for this opportunity for our students!
