🎭 Trunk or Treat Takes the Stage!
For the first time ever, Central High School’s Drama Club is hosting a districtwide Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 22 from 4–6 PM at CHS. Everyone in the Central 301 community is invited for decorated trunks, treats, and school spirit!
🏆 Statewide Recognition for Communications Excellence
Central 301 earned three honors from the Illinois Chapter of NSPRA for Homegrown, #DayOne301, and In The Loop — a celebration of storytelling, connection, and creativity across our district.
🎧 The 301 Podcast Dives into “The Anxious Generation”
Hosts Erica Snyder and Lindsay Melvin discuss Jonathan Haidt’s book The Anxious Generation and explore how schools and families can help kids rediscover a play-based childhood.
📸 Flora and Fauna in Focus
CHS senior Elinor Eickmeier earned a Top 10 finish in the Kane County ROE Student Photography Contest for her creative take on the theme Flora & Fauna.
🏃♀️ CMS Cross Country Races to State!
The CMS team celebrated 13 new personal records at sectionals, with runners Fiona Nolan, Kacy Davis, and Gavin Etters earning spots at the IESA State Finals. Good luck this weekend Downstate!
🎨 Storybook Pumpkins at Country Trails
CT students showed off their creativity with book character pumpkins during Family Literacy Night — and Dog Man took home the top prize!
💬 2,000 and Counting
