One Book, One School Assembly

PTC Sponsored Event: Anderson Humane Wildlife

Last week students at Lily Lake had an exciting and inspiring assembly as part of our One Book, One School program featuring “A Boy Called Bat.”  We welcomed Anderson Humane Wildlife for a special assembly where students learned about caring for injured and orphaned wild animals.  The assembly was a perfect way to connect the themes of empathy and animal care from our book to real-life action. 

It also served as an inspiring kickoff to our school-wide service project, encouraging students to think about how they can make a difference in their community – just like Bat does in the story. We’re thrilled to see our students so engaged, and we look forward to continuing this journey of compassion, learning and service together.
