Giving Mall Needs

Prairie View Looks for Donations

Our first and second grade hallway was transformed into the “The Giving Mall.”  The mall has been open since Monday, December 2nd and will close on Friday, December 13th.  Prairie View students will have the opportunity to collect and bring donations for local charities. They will also be able to visit all the storefronts, where they will stock the shelves with the donations.  Some of the local charities include the Burlington/Hampshire food pantry, Elgin Rescues, Elgin Community Crisis Center, Epworth United Methodist Church (EUMC), CASA Kane County, and Elgin YWCA. Our students have always enjoyed the mall festivities and the opportunity to experience compassion and goodwill to others. 

Donations can be brought into school by students or dropped at the main office.
