Lily Lake Celebrates Kindness and “Read Across America” Week
Students at Lily Lake Elementary enjoyed a full week of activities celebrating both Kindness Week and Read Across America Week, creating opportunities to highlight the importance of reading, creativity, and positive connections within the school community.
Throughout the week, students participated in dress up days, reading challenges, and the popular “Read to Rover” program, where students had the opportunity to practice reading aloud with a friendly canine listener.
The week also included a special visit from professional storyteller Chris Fascione, who presented three assemblies and performed a total of nine stories for Lily Lake students. His energetic storytelling style brought books to life and inspired students to explore the joy of reading.
It was a memorable week at Lily Lake, celebrating the power of stories and the kindness that helps make the school community strong.
