Here’s a look at the frightful happenings across Central 301 this week:
🦃 Thanksgiving Fun at CT
CT first graders wrote imaginative turkey recipes that brought plenty of laughs, and students wrapped the week with a Thanksgiving feast at lunch with a little roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, celery, and a cookie. A perfect holiday send off thanks to our incredible lunch staff.
🪤 Turkey Creativity at Prairie View
Prairie View first graders designed clever turkey traps as part of a writing activity, with a few designs possibly headed to the newspaper next week. Our littles in Early Childhood also celebrated a warm and joyful Friendsgiving full of sharing, smiles, and community.
🤖 STEM Week at HBT
HBT kicked off its parent run Robotics Club with hands-on building and problem solving. Fifth graders also enjoyed an immersive STEM experience at the Challenger Center thanks to HBT PTO support.
✨ Celebrations at PKMS
Prairie Knolls honored 6th and 7th graders at the Student Recognition Breakfast, recognizing students who showed leadership, growth, and dedication.
🖊️ STAR Power at CMS
CMS STAR Club launched its first fundraiser of the year with a fun “Tattoo a Teacher” event supporting Illinois Shorthair Rescue. Students led with creativity, kindness, and school spirit.
🏆 District Communications Honors
Central 301 earned three statewide INSPRA Communications Awards, the most in district history. These recognitions highlight the teamwork of our staff and storytelling that showcase our district.
