Meet the Principal

Welcome to Central High School

Patrick Podgorski has served as Principal at Central High School since 2023 after spending the year prior as an Assistant Principal on Rocket Hill. His resume includes time spent as a boy’s and girl’s soccer head coach, eight years as a high school English teacher, and six prior years as Assistant Principal prior to his arrival at Central 301. Mr. Podgorski worked with students in Colorado, as well as in Johnsburg and Woodstock during his career in education.

Mr. Podgorski’s wife, Kelsey, is the Director of Multilingual Education in McHenry and his children are just beginning their educational journeys. Along with their two children, Connor and Quinn, the Podgorskis live in Cary and enjoy being active outdoors and going on hikes with their two dogs, Emmy and Ruby.
