Meet the Principal
Welcome to Central Middle School
Matt Palcer was named Central Middle School Principal to start the 2025–2026 school year. He brings more than 25 years of experience in education, having worked in a wide range of roles including teacher, student advisor, assistant principal, and principal at both the elementary and middle school levels.
Palcer is known for his focus on instructional excellence, formative assessment practices, and creating a positive, student-focused school climate. He is passionate about building collaborative relationships with students, staff, and families to help every child reach their full potential.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Palcer resides in La Grange Park with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys running, coaching youth soccer, and reading in his free time.
