Prairie Knolls Middle School – Summer Update!
Hello Falcon Families!
I hope your summer has been off to a great start! As we prepare for another exciting school year at Prairie Knolls Middle School, I wanted to share a few important updates and reminders.
Summer Office Hours
PKMS will be open throughout the summer from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Student Schedules
One of our primary summer projects is building student schedules for the 2026-2027 school year. Please note that students are assigned to classes based on academic needs, and we are unable to accommodate teacher requests. Student schedules will be available in August for families who have completed registration and paid applicable school fees. Please remember that all academic fees must be paid before students can register and pay for athletic programs. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, please contact the PKMS main office. We are happy to work with families and discuss available options.
Locker Launch Days
To help students prepare for the start of the school year, we will once again offer two Locker Launch opportunities:
- Tuesday, August 4 | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Thursday, August 6 | 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
During these times, students can:
- Set up their lockers
- Drop off school supplies
- Walk their schedules and locate classrooms
- Incoming 6th Graders and new to D301 7th Graders are also able to pick up their chromebooks.
We encourage families to take advantage of one of these opportunities to help students feel comfortable and confident before the first day of school.
School Supply Kits (July 1st is the last day to order!)
Our middle school PTO has partnered with 1st Day School Supplies to offer a convenient option for purchasing school supplies for the upcoming school year. Families who choose to participate can order supplies online, and all items will be ready for pickup during our Locker Launch dates in August.
First Day of School
The first day of attendance for students is Wednesday, August 12. Please continue to watch for Principal Messages throughout the summer for additional updates and information. We look forward to welcoming our Falcons back in August and are excited for a great school year ahead!
