Central District 301, in partnership with the Kane County Juvenile Justice Council, is pleased to invite you to Wake Up Call, a presentation for parents and guardians of students in middle or high school. This presentation teaches guardians about the signs and symptoms associated with substance abuse, current drug trends, parenting strategies to prevent substance use, and more. During this presentation, participants receive a guided tour of a bedroom highlighting more than 20 “red flags” that can signal drug or alcohol use as well as household items that can be used as drug paraphernalia and ways teens try to cover up drug and alcohol use. In addition, we will host a resource fair immediately before and after the presentation. Please click here to view the full Wake Up Call flyer. You can learn more about Your Choice to Live, Inc, the creators of Wake Up Call, by visiting www.yourchoice-live.org.
Wake Up Call will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Central High School auditorium, with the resource fair beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the CHS commons.
